It's fair to say that EA's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been a resounding success, selling 5 million copies in two months across all formats. The next big milestone for developer Dice will be the first-ever co-op mode for the Battlefield franchise, which is called Onslaught. The co-op mode will launch as downloadable content for the game "soon" on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and we got to play it in London recently.

Here are the basics: Onslaught is a completely new gameplay mode that fuses elements of the single-player and multiplayer game. You can play it in single-play..

While fans are still waging war in multiplayer matches twelve years after the original's release, the Zerg invasion finally continues in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, the first entry in the three-part sequel. Wings of Liberty’s single player campaign focuses on the Terran race and familiar faces like the now-outlawed Jim Raynor and the Queen of Blades Sarah Karrigan. But unlike the first game, your choices actually make a difference with branching mission structures, which allows you to guide the destinies of the characters. On the multiplayer front, fans playing the beta can al..

Blood--and lots of it--abounds in our first hands-on with the latest in the long-running fighting franchise. If you liked the gore and abundant ultraviolence of the earlier Mortal Kombat games, then we've got good news for you: The new Mortal Kombat is one of the bloodiest games we've ever seen. Even if you weren't particularly fond of the blood but just liked the games for their fighting style, then you'll have plenty to look forward to with this latest entry in the franchise. According to series creator Ed Boon, the new Mortal Kombat ..

Talking to the team behind Fallout: New Vegas, it seems that it will have more in common with the first two games in the series, rather than 2008's Fallout 3. According to the creative team, the west coast setting means that it will have relatively little in common with the Washington-set Fallout 3, but it will feature some characters and locations from the original two games. We managed to score new hands-on time with the game to find out more. The E3 demo starts out in Vegas itself, which has been left unspoiled by the nuclear apocalypse that ravaged much of the rest of the US. I..

Triple Nvidia SLI vs Triple ATI Crossfire

One powerful GPU is enough to render most games at ridiculous frame rates and insane resolutions. When you add two flagship GPUs to a system to make an SLI or Crossfire setup, it's the definition of excess. Triple SLI and Crossfire is (excuse us while we dip into our newspeak dictionary for a word) doubleplusexcess. Everything about three monster GPUs slapped into one system screams it. The frame rates are ridiculous, the power requirements are monumental, the heat is off the charts, and the cost--it falls under one of those "it's better not to ask" scenarios.
